What is LPUNEST?
Lovely Professional University conducts the National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to its various courses. It is conducted in online mode every year for admission to more than 150 programmes. The test acts as an Entrance Test as well as Scholarship Test. The amount of scholarship is determined by the marks and rank obtained by candidates in the exam. In the NIRF Ranking, 2023 LPU appears in Top 100 in its most crucial Overall Category, which includes IITs and Central Universities. LPUNEST 2024 Important Information
- For the above-mentioned Schedule, LPU is providing the following options to conduct the LPUNEST Exam. Students can opt for the best-suited option to appear for the exam:
- Test Centre-Based Exam
- Online Remotely Proctored LPUNEST exam from home
- The remotely proctored exam will be monitored live through various Artificial Intelligence tools and by the invigilators.
- The declaration date of offline exam results may vary from the above schedule. Candidates will receive their test results directly within their portal.
- Subsequent Rounds after Round-I (as mentioned above) will be conducted, only if seats remain vacant.
- Seats falling vacant after the above-mentioned rounds will be filled on a first come first serve basis, subject to satisfying eligibility criteria as mentioned in Prospectus-2024.
- Applicants are strongly advised not to wait for the last dates as mentioned above and apply as well as book and appear for the exam at the earliest to avoid last last-minute rush.
- This is the tentative schedule; any of the date(s) and other details as mentioned above are subject to change at the discretion of the University.
- No separate intimation or announcement to any applicant(s) will be given.
- Subsequent Phases of admission will be conducted if seats remain vacant.

LPUNEST 2024 Application Process
Candidates who are eligible for filling out the application form can apply for the exam online and offline. To submit the application form in online mode, candidates should visit admissions.ipu.in to complete the application process. On the other hand, candidates who want to apply offline should reach the University campus and collect the LPUNEST kit by paying the requisite fee.
LPUNEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria
For admission to BTech Programmes at Lovely Professional University, candidates need to fulfil the following Eligibility Criteria;
Nationality
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (BTech)
Qualifying Examination
Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (BTech) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024, in final examination of 10+2 from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. The board must be recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body.
Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
- Candidates must have passed the exam with 60%* aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English) subject to qualifying LPUNEST (B.Tech.)
- There is a 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants as far as passing marks in the qualifying exams are concerned.
- There 10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (i.e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship) as far as passing marks in the qualifying exams are concerned, Subject to verification from the Selection committee of the University. The selection committee must comprise Head (DSW), Director Sports, Deputy Director Sports, Concerned Coach and VC Nominee.
Note: In case the applicant falls in both categories, then only one relaxation will be given.
For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology), B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering)
Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology; other things remain the same as above.
For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE) and B.Tech. (Petroleum Engineering)
Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English; other things remain the same as above.
