JEE Main Final Answer Key 2024 Session 2 was released on April 21. Candidates can download the JEE Main 2024 Session 2 Final Answer Key using the direct link given below on this page or from the JEE Main official website. JEE Main Provisional Answer Key 2024 Session 2 was released on April 12. The facility of JEE Mains Answer Key Challenge Session 2 was available from April 12 to 14. NTA conducted JEE Main Session 2 exam 2024 on April 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) and Paper 2 for BArch/BPlan was conducted on April 12. The NTA has introduced the following two major changes in JEE Main 2024 exam
- National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the JEE Mains 2024 Syllabus. As per the revised syllabus, several topics of class 11 and 12 have been removed from the JEE Main syllabus for the exam. Candidates can check the JEE Main new syllabus 2024 from the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in or from this page.
- In the JEE Main registration process, NTA has introduced the option to select a preferred registration mode. Candidates can register by using any one among Aadhar Enrollment Number, PAN, Passport number, or ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit ID)

What is JEE Main Exam?
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main), popularly called JEE Main, is the exam conducted for admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. The JEE Main exam is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, conducted for admission to IITs.
JEE Entrance exam consists of three papers, Paper 1 for admission to the BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission, and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the JEE Main exam as a Computer Based Test in various cities in India and abroad. NTA official website JEE 2024 is jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Candidates preparing for the JEE Mains 2024 can check here the exam syllabus, the pattern of the exam, and the marking scheme, and download previous year JEE Mains question paper PDF. As per the JEE Mains exam pattern, the exam will be conducted online as a Computer Test. Previous year JEE Main question paper will help candidates understand the difficulty level of the exam. Also, it is advised that students study JEE Mains 2024 chapter-wise weightage to know the topics that have been asked in previous years.
JEE Main 2024 will have three papers, Paper 1 for admission to the BE/BTech course, Paper 2A for BArch admission, and Paper 2B for BPlan course admission. The duration of the JEE Main exam is three hours and the question paper will have Multiple Choice (MCQ) and Integer Value (Numerical Value Answer) type questions. JEE Main 2024 Paper 1 will have 90 questions while Paper 2A and 2B will have 82 and 105 questions respectively.

JEE Main cutoff is the minimum percentile score that candidates have to score to qualify for appearing in JEE Advanced. JEE Main cutoff will be different for various categories.
Candidates must note that there are NO minimum marks or cutoffs that students need to obtain to pass the JEE Main exam. The score that candidates get in JEE Main decides the All India Rank and admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is purely based on the All India Rank. The JEE Main cutoff is only for appearing in JEE Advanced.

JEE Main 2024 Answer Key Session 1
NTA has released the session 1 final answer key of JEE Mains 2024. The National Testing Agency released the provisional JEE Main 2024 answer key on February 6. JEE Main answer key 2024, response sheet and question paper PDFs for the January 24, 27, 29, 30, 31 February 1 exams can be downloaded using the direct link given below. Candidates need to login on the website using their application number and date of birth to download NTA JEE answer key, response sheet and question paper.
NTA releases the answer key to let candidates know the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. In case candidates have objections to any answer provided by the NTA, they can challenge the answer key upon which an expert team reviews the challenge to arrive at a final answer.

JoSAA 2024 JEE Main Counselling
The counselling for admission to NITs and IIITs will be organised by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The registration for JoSAA 2024 will start on June 10. Candidates can check more details regarding JoSAA 2024 admission process from the official website josaa.nic.in.
JEE Main Participating Institutes 2024
The participating institutes of JEE Main are the colleges that participate in the JoSAA counselling for admission in various Engineering, Architecture and Planning courses. Besides JEE Main participating institutes, many colleges offer admission based on the scores of JEE Main but are not a part of JoSAA. Such institutes organise their counselling process for admission.
There are a total of 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 19 other GFTIs that participate in JoSAA counselling. The number of seats in these institutes can be checked below. Other institutes which offer admission based on JEE Main scores are from the states which do not conduct their entrance exams for engineering admission and include U.P., Bihar, M.P., Delhi, among others.
