IIT Delhi Highlights 2024
IITD was established in 1961 as the College of Engineering. Later, it was declared the Institution of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act of 1963. Over the years, over 48,000 students have graduated from the IIT Delhi in several disciplines including Physical Sciences, Engineering, Management, and Humanities and Social Sciences, and various other streams. Over 15,738 students have received their BTech degree from IIT Delhi over the years. Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), through various departments and schools of study, offers UG, PG, and various other courses to students. IIT Delhi is also ranked 197 internationally by the QS World University Rankings 2024. It is one of the twenty-three IITs present in India.
IIT Delhi is planning to open its campus in Abu Dhabi. IIT-Delhi Abu Dhabi campus is the first step taken towards internationalising India’s education. IIT Delhi cutoff 2024 will be released after each round of JoSAA counselling for admission to the BTech and Integrated BTech courses. IIT Delhi JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 will be released in the form of opening and closing ranks for different categories under the AI Quota. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct 6 rounds of JEE Advanced Counselling in June. IIT Delhi Cutoff 2024 – JEE Main Session 2 Result (Out)
The JEE Main Session 2 results have been released. Along with the result, NTA has also released the JEE Main percentile. Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main cutoff percentile are eligible for the next round of admissions, which is JEE Advanced. Those who meet the JEE Advanced cutoff will be called for the round-wise JoSAA counselling, which is expected to begin on June 10, 2024. IIT Delhi Admission 2024: Eligibility & Selection
IIT Delhi admission process is entrance-based, except for the PG Diploma course. For BTech admission, IIT Delhi accepts JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exam scores, followed by the counselling round. For IIT Delhi MBA admission, candidates must have a valid CAT score.
- For the flagship course, i.e., BTech admission, IIT Delhi accepts JEE Main and JEE Advanced entrance exam scores, followed by JOSAA Counselling. JEE Main 2024 Result for Session 2 is expected to be out on Apr 25, 2024. JEE Advanced registrations will be open between Apr 27, 2024 and May 7, 2024.
- For IIT Delhi MBA admission, candidates must have a valid CAT score. Similarly, admission to IIT Delhi MTech and MSc courses is GATE and IIT JAM based, followed by COAP and CCMN counselling, respectively.

IIT Delhi has a multi-step admission process which students need to follow to get into the institute. The admission procedure involves registration, entrance exam, shortlisting, release of merit list, counselling, and admission confirmation. Step 1: IIT Delhi Application Process 2024
Candidates seeking admission at IIT Delhi are required to complete the application form for the course-specific entrance exam.
