NIFT Gandhinagar Admission Process 2024
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar was established in 1995 and is affiliated to the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It is a statutory body of NIFT Act, 2006. The institute was ranked 4 and 5 for Fashion Design by the Week 2020 and India Today 2020, respectively. NIFT Gandhinagar offers UG and PG programmes in the domains of Design, Management and Technology and has a pan-India presence with 16 other NIFT campuses across the country.The institute offers BDes, BFTech, Continuing Education (CE), MFM and MFTech programmes at the UG and PG level. Admission to all the programmes is based on a valid score obtained in NIFT Entrance Exam, which is divided into three parts, Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test (SAT)/ Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/ PI) round. UG Courses
- Admission to the BDes programme is based on a valid score in CAT and GAT, followed by SAT conducted by the institute
- For admission to BFTech Fashion Technology programme, NIFT Gandhinagar conducts GAT
PG Courses
- NIFT Gandhinagar Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech) programmes admission is granted on the basis of a valid score in GAT, followed by a GD/ PI round
- For admission to NIFT Gandhinagar Continuing Education (CE) programme, admission is based on the merit obtained in the previous qualifying exams
- 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories, respectively
